Philly paper pleads for Pope Francis’ help with Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles dropped to 0-2 with an underwhelming performance — to put it mildly, especially on offense — in a 20-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. With Pope Francis set to visit the City of Brotherly Love, one Philly newspaper used its front cover to seek some divinely inspired benevolence from the pontiff.

The pope will visit Philadelphia this week for the 2015 World Meeting of Families conference, the Philadelphia Daily News posted a photograph of Eagles fan in pope-like garb along with the headline, “Uh, While You’re Here…” along with the subhead “Dear Francis: Our Team Is Clearly In Need of Some Divine Intervention.
