PHILADELPHIA — Trea Turner couldn’t bring himself to watch his Phillies teammates celebrate the clinching of the National League East last week in Los Angeles. It was just a little too painful after he had to stay back home due to injury.
“I didn’t watch anything,” Turner said. “I was too jealous.”
As the night got late on the East Coast, Turner tuned in for the end of last Monday’s game at Dodger Stadium. But once the bottles started popping, the veteran had to turn the broadcast off.
“When I saw everybody in the locker room, I was like, ‘I can’t watch this,'” Turner said.
