PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A memorial service will be held for former Philadelphia Phillies chairman David Montgomery at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday, June 6 at 3:05 p.m. Montgomery passed away at the age of 72 earlier this month following a five-year battle with cancer.
The David P. Montgomery Celebration of Life will be open to the public.
“For all of us who had the privilege to work with David over the years, we experienced a true leader – a man who was the heart of the Phillies,” Phillies executive vice president David Buck said.
