Phillies: Three non-tendered players they could sign

The Phillies opened several holes on their roster at the non-tender deadline, releasing Maikel Franco and Cesar Hernandez instead of offering a large contract and possibly going to arbitration.

Hernandez and Franco are among several high-profile players who were non-tendered this offseason, entering the open market for the first time in their careers.

Philadelphia now has an opportunity to find a diamond in the rough and fill holes on their roster without paying a premium in the trade market.

Here are five players recently non-tendered who could interest the Phillies this offseason.

Travis Shaw

After two seasons hitting 30 home runs and playing across the diamond in Milwaukee, the Brewers released Travis Shaw at the tail-end of an injury-plagued season.
