Phillies 2016 Record: 42-48
90 games is a nice, round number as the Phillies take four days off for the All-Star break. Here's another nice number: 13. That's how many more wins the Phillies have in 2016 versus last year at the break.
They enter the break this year with the hottest offense in baseball, entering Sunday with a major-league lead in OPS (.868), batting average (.307), slugging percentage (.515), and hits (198) since June 21.
Rupp, Franco, Bourjos, Asche, and Hernandez are all red hot and Tommy Joseph is starting to hit. Oddly enough, though, the Phils' lone All-Star representative is mired in a 1-for-16 slump.
