LOS ANGELES — The Phillies fought as hard as any team possibly could, but a 96-win season ends the same way it did last year: with a series loss in four games in the National League Division Series.
They threw everything they could at the Dodgers in an elimination. Jesús Luzardo came out of the bullpen for the first time since 2021 and shoved. Harrison Bader struck out on a 10-pitch at-bat. What transpired was one of the craziest Phillies postseason games of all time.
All that was missing was the big hit.
The Phillies dropped Game 4 on the road to the Dodgers, 2-1 on a walk-off error by Orion Kerkering.
