Former Phillies coaches and All-Stars Larry Bowa and Mickey Morandini will represent the franchise at the 2018 MLB Amateur Draft on June 4 from the MLB Network Studio.
Bowa and Mornadini were on Pete Mackanin’s staff last year but were not retained by Gabe Kapler when Mackanin was moved to the front office. Bowa is now a Senior Advisor to the General Manager and Morandini works as a Club Ambassador working with public relations and likely with the scouting department.
Morandini was a fifth round pick of the Phillies out of Indiana University-Bloomington in 1988 and played nine years with Philadelphia from 1990-1997 and 2000.
