Phillies rehab: Aaron Nola fans 11, Alec Bohm homers

The Phillies have some crucial members of the big-league club on rehab assignments with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, and two key contributors have posted notable performances this week.

Starting pitcher Aaron Nola (sprained ankle, rib stress fracture) put some swing-and-miss stuff on display in his third rehab start on Tuesday night, racking up 11 strikeouts for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The right-hander threw 5 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on four hits in a 6-2 IronPigs loss to the Buffalo Bisons at Sahlen Field.

Nola tossed 84 pitches, and it appears that his first major-league start since May 14 could be coming soon.
