Phillies rediscover the long ball, record 10,000th win

Final Score: Phillies 11, Reds 4

The Phillies have finally won their 10,000th victory after 140 seasons in the Major Leagues. On Tuesday, aided by great hitting from the middle of the lineup, Philadelphia hit five homers en route to their milestone win over the Cincinnati Reds.

The Phillies struck first in the third inning, when Darick Hall and Nick Castellanos hit back-to-back homers to put Philadelphia up 2-0.

In the bottom of the inning, Kyle Gibson, who had been cruising with five strikeouts already, gave up a two-out two-run home run to Jake Fraley and then promptly a solo shot to Jonathan India.
