Phillies first-round pick Alec Bohm has been promoted to Single-A Short-Season Williamsport Crosscutters. He’ll join the club on Sunday after just three games in the Gulf Coast League.
Drafted third overall out of Wichita State, the third baseman hit .500 playing for the Gulf Coast League Phillies West in Clearwater. On the first pitch he saw as a professional he drove a ball to the opposite field corner and reached third with an RBI.
Bohm finished with no strikeouts, one walk, one stolen base, and two RBI in his three games in the Gulf Coast League.
