Phillies notes: Injury updates, Chase Utley and travel issues

LOS ANGELES – A few Phillies stayed behind to continue rehabbing as the team traveled to the west coast for the final road trip of the regular season.

Trea Turner (right hamstring strain) had a full workout on Monday at Citizens Bank Park.

“A little bit of jogging,” manager Rob Thomson said. “Hitting in the cages, tee and toss, ground balls. Really good. Feels good.”

The Phillies are hopeful that Turner will be ready for a regular season tune-up prior to the start of the postseason. If the Phillies clinch a bye – the magic number over the Dodgers is nine – the postseason will begin on Oct.
