Philadelphia fans witnessed what many thought was an impossible feat; the Philadelphia Eagles have won the Super Bowl. It’s the city’s first championship since the Phillies beat Tampa Bay in 2008, but the Super Bowl is the most elusive award the city has ever sought.
In a city where winning is rare and addictive, fans are already starving for the next championship. Among the Flyers, Sixers, and Phillies, which franchise will, as Phillies owner John Middleton said, get that “f’n trophy back.”
Traditional thinking would be the Sixers are next to win a championship as The Process and Sam Hinkie’s vision continues around Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
