A combination of the offensive work by Scott Kingery and Aaron Nola’s stellar pitching led the Phillies to a 5-4 win against the Colorado Rockies on this day in 2018.
Kingery came out swinging. In the top of the first, after Rockies pitcher Jon Gray had walked Rhys Hoskins and Carlos Santana, Kingery hit a three-run home run to give the Phillies the early lead.
