After coming off a 6-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates at the Vet, the team flew to Denver to face Larry Walker, Dante Bichette and the Colorado Rockies. With 21-year-old right-hander Rich Hunter on the mound for the Phillies, the stacked Rockies lineup was expected to go off.
