Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Tuesday, July 21:
Lehigh Valley IronPigs (43-54) – Triple A
Strong pitching from Anthony Vasquez and a productive offensive outing helped the IronPigs defeat the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-1, at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.
Vasquez (6-3, 4.06 ERA) allowed only one run on five hits in six innings.
He received offensive support in the form of 10 hits, including a two-run homer from Chase d’Arnaud during the third inning. The homer was his third of the season.
Erik Kratz led the IronPigs in hits with three and Aaron Altherr drove in a run to increase his RBI total to 19.
