Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Sunday, Aug. 9:
Lehigh Valley IronPigs (53-63) – Triple A
Another dominant outing from pitcher Jerad Eickhoff, and an explosive fourth inning helped the IronPigs cruise to a 9-0 victory over the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio.
Eickhoff (2-0, 0.64 ERA) tossed eight scoreless innings and gave up only five hits. He also struck out four.
Eickhoff received the majority of his run support during the fourth when the IronPigs scored seven runs.
Aaron Altherr led off the frame with his eighth home run of the season.
