Phillies make series of moves as rosters expand

MLB rosters expand from 26 to 28 players on Sept. 1. Gone are the days where the entire 40-man roster is eligible to play in the big leagues.

While the Phillies’ series finale against the Nationals was postponed to Thursday due to rain, the Phillies made a few moves to round up their roster. They selected the contracts of right-handed pitchers Cam Bedrosian and Ramón Rosso.

To make room on the 40-man roster, Rhys Hoskins (abdomen) was transferred from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.
