PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies will play the second game in their four-game series with the Rockies tonight out in Colorado.
The Phils dropped the opener in this set last night 11-2 as Adam Morgan allowed six runs in five innings to fall to 1-7. He was optioned to Triple-A after the game.
Right-hander Vince Velasquez will start on the mound tonight for the Phillies. He is 7-2 with a 3.34 ERA. Since returning from a stint on the DL last month, Velasquez has made two starts, winning both while allowing just two runs in 11 innings of work with 14 strikeouts and just two walks.
