Four letters have described the type of season JT Realmuto had in 2020.
B.C.I.B.
Best Catcher In Baseball
Phillies fans have known that as a fact for a while. Today, MLB confirmed it. In the first ever All-MLB Team voting, JT Realmuto was named Fist Team All-MLB as the catcher.
In 2019, JT Realmuto set new career highs for doubles (36), homers (25), RBI (83), runs scored (92), walks (41), and slugging % (.493). Those numbers led Realmuto to winning the NL Silver Slugger for a catcher. That’s just for offense.
Defensively, Realmuto was named Rawling Gold Glove award winner for NL catchers.
