Phillies Injury Updates
- RHP Zack Wheeler (thoracic outlet sydrome)
- Status: Out for season
- Zack Wheeler, who suffered a blood clot earlier this season, will undergo a procedure to correct the medical issue that caused. Phillies manager Rob Thomson announced that the ace pitcher will have thoracic outlet decompression surgery on Sept. 23 in St. Louis. The recovery is considered to take about six to eight months, leaving the Phillies without their top arm for the rest of 2025.
- SS Trea Turner (strained right hamstring)
- Status: 10-day injured list
- Trea Turner, perhaps Philadelphia’s best all-around player this season, suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain last weekend in Miami.
