Phillies’ former trade deadline blunder lands with Blue Jays

As the saying goes, one’s pain can be another’s gain. In the case for the Philadelphia Phillies and former player Rodolfo Castro, the Phillies may have endured practically most of, if not all of the pain. But right now it appears that Castro has ended up being the one that has all to gain.

Earlier this week, the 26-year-old infielder found himself back with a legitimate contender for the 2026 season as the Toronto Blue Jays signed him to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training. After reaching the World Series this year, the Blue Jays were looking to add valuable infield depth to bolster their roster for the upcoming season.
