Despite being down three runs after the first inning, the Philadelphia Phillies were able to come all the way back against the Washington Nationals on Friday, August 22.
J.T. Realmuto continued his hot streak and gave his team the one-run lead in the seventh on a solo shot deep to left field. But, the Nationals were able to spoil the Phillies comeback in the ninth, scoring two runs to hand the Phillies the 5-4 loss.
Jhoan Duran came into the game with a 4-3 lead and gave up two hits, including an RBI-single to Daylen Lile that tied the game 4-4.
