The Philadelphia Phillies revealed the latest injury update to shortstop Trea Turner ahead of their contest on Sept. 8 versus the New York Mets. Turner left in the seventh inning of Philadelphia's game against the Miami Marlins with a hamstring injury on Sunday, Sept. 7.
There is concern considering the timing of the injury. There are only a few weeks left in the regular season. The Phillies can ill afford to be without one of their best players in Turner. The shortstop is having his best season with the club offensively, as he leads the National League in hits at the time of his injury.
