PHILADELPHIA — The Mets’ lineup supplied the power on Saturday night. It was too much for the Phillies to contain.
Led by two-homer performances from Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto, New York hit seven solo home runs in an offensive outbreak to down Philadelphia, 11-4, at Citizens Bank Park. The Mets took their turn for a blowout win to even this three-game series and the National League East standings.
At 46-31, the Phillies and Mets are once again tied for first place in the division.
Phillies starter Mick Abel was burned by the long ball, allowing four homers in only three innings.
