Phillies can’t complete sweep as Orioles rally in fourth inning

PHILADELPHIA — Four hits to start the fourth inning led to four runs off Ranger Suárez. That helped the Orioles avoid a series sweep in Philadelphia.

Suárez, the Phillies’ starter, went 6 1/3 innings and walked none, but he allowed that fourth-inning rally and five runs in total in a 5-1 Baltimore win on Wednesday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. Trevor Rogers gave up one run in six innings for the Orioles. Although they won the first two of this three-game set, the Phillies have still not swept a series since taking all three against the Blue Jays in mid-June.
