The team originally planned to hold a pregame ceremony on the 10th anniversary of his perfect game against the Florida Marlins on May 29, 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic canceled the initial ceremony.

Beloved Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz is scheduled to take part in the ceremony along with Hall of Famer Steve Carlton and Raúl Ibañez.
