Phillies former top prospect J.P. Crawford has been reinstated from the disabled list after missing over a month of playing time with a forearm strain. The 23-year-old hasn’t played since April 28 after a poor first month of the season.
To make room on the 25-man roster the Phillies optioned infielder Mitch Walding to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Walding made his major league debut in Los Angeles after Pedro Florimon broke his foot on a foul ball, but struck out six times in as many plate appearances in three games.
