Pat Neshek is one of the most intriguing pieces Phillies general manager Matt Klentak brought in this offseason. Acquired in November for a player to be named later or cash, the veteran reliever brings experience and an excellent resume to South Philadelphia.
The 36-year old side-slinger is entering the 11th season of a rather successful career. Neshek comes into 2017 with a career 28-19 record and 2.93 ERA with an incredible 1.046 WHIP, which would be good for 6th best all time if he met the innings requirement.
No stranger to a new jersey, Neshek should have no problem fitting in to his new surroundings.
