First off, I LOVED Ken Giles. I followed him through the minors and was there for his first MLB appearance. I had a feeling he was going to get traded, just as many speculated, and I know it was right to get max value for him now, but I was still pretty upset.
Luckily, the players that came back in return eased my stress, with Vince Velasquez being the biggest reason. His stuff is electric and his upside is as high as a very good #2 starter/shut down closer and his floor probably being a #4 starter.
"Vinny from Philly", as his friends affectionately call him since the trade, doesn't come without some risk.
