Paredes, Phillies beat Marlins in 13 innings

With nothing to play for but good old fashioned pride, the Phillies dealt a blow to a team that is still playing somewhat meaningful baseball.

Jimmy Paredes' RBI single over a drawn-in infield with one out in the 13th inning provided the Phillies with a 4-3 win over the Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park.

Besides wiping out the sour taste of Thursday's 15-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Phillies also hurt the Marlins' ever slimmer postseason chances. Miami began the day four games out of the second wild-card spot.
