The Phillies have another vacancy to fill on the major league coaching staff.
The Baltimore Orioles are hiring Phillies assistant hitting coach Dustin Lind as their lead hitting coach, according to Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com. Lind spent the last two seasons with the Phillies as an assistant hitting coach under Kevin Long.
Lind and new Orioles manager Craig Albernaz worked together on Gabe Kapler’s staff in San Francisco for four seasons from 2020 to 2023. Lind is replacing former Phillie Cody Asche as Baltimore’s lead hitting coach.
