While the 2022 season eventually ended in the World Series, for most of the season, the Phillies were in real danger of not even making the playoffs. But they managed to win just enough games down the stretch, and one of the unsung heroes of the run was Bailey Falter.
Falter had bounced between the Phillies and AAA, and between a starting a relief role, not really excelling at either. But in August, the Phillies gave him another crack at the rotation, and he rewarded them, going 6-1 with a 3.00 ERA over the final two months of the season.
