During the offseason, the Phillies had a clear hole in the outfield that needed to be filled. After Austin Hays disappointed at the end of 2024, the Phillies sought a player who could either play full-time in left or center field or possibly serve as the right-handed part of a platoon with Brandon Marsh.
The Phillies ultimately decided on Max Kepler, and while the returns on that signing have been uneven so far, let’s consider two of the other names that were floated out there. One was Jurickson Profar (My personal choice, oops!), who signed with the Braves and was almost immediately hit with a PED suspension.
