When Mike and Alyssa Capko got to their seats at Citizen's Bank Park Sunday for a Mother's Day outing to a Phillies game, their first thoughts were:
Great seats. Foul ball territory. We better be careful.
Mike had their 7-month-old son, Kolton, strapped to his chest.
For three innings, everything was fine - the Phillies were even leading the Mets at that point. Kolton sucked on a blue pacifier as his parents enjoyed the game with friends who also brought a young child.
Then boom.
In the top of the fourth, Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy hit a screaming foul ball down the third-base line – right at Kolton.
