Nick Castellanos’ clutch homer leads Phils past Braves

Final Score: Phillies 3, Braves 1

Charlie Morton, the starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, cruised through 6 2/3 innings, allowing only three hits to the Philadelphia Phillies. Phillies hitters, for the most part, looked powerless against him.

Zack Wheeler, the starter for Philadelphia, was no less excellent. He gave up only one earned run on an Orlando Arcia homer, but otherwise kept the Braves at bay.

The Phillies turned things around at the plate in the eighth inning. After Rhys Hoskins took a one-out walk, Alec Bohm smoked a liner to left field to put Hoskins on third and Realmuto knocked him in with an RBI groundout to tie the game at 1-1.
