Minor-league week in review: Logan O’Hoppe keeps hitting homers

Phillies catching prospect Logan O’Hoppe continued his power-hitting tear in the latest week of the minor-league season.

The 22-year-old clubbed three more home runs in five games played in Double-A Reading’s six-game series at Hartford, bringing his season total to 11.

Despite O’Hoppe’s efforts, the Fightins dropped three straight to end the weekend to bring their record to 21-30; the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs are 30-24; the High-A Jersey Shore BlueClaws are 19-30; the Low-A Clearwater Threshers are 26-24.

O’Hoppe keeps displaying power

After a bit of a slow start at the plate this season, O’Hoppe’s bat has been the brightest spot on the Reading roster since mid-May.
