Minor-league notes: Justin Crawford stays focused, keeps producing in Triple-A

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The chatter around Justin Crawford has echoed throughout the summer.

Where is he? When’s he coming up?

The questions in Philadelphia continue, and for good reason; the outfielder is batting .328 at Triple-A Lehigh Valley and keeps putting up numbers. But the call hasn’t come yet, and it might not at any point this season. Crawford has been able to tune out the big-league noise and speculation.

“I think for people that don’t know him that well, it could be very impressive that he’s able to keep his head on straight,” IronPigs manager Anthony Contreras said last week.
