Lehigh Valley IronPig Tommy Joseph learning to play first base, third base

Tommy Joseph is sporting contact lenses for the first time and wearning a different glove for the first time in three years

The IronPigs catcher has been taking ground balls the last two days at first base. He'll expand his defensive workouts to third base in the coming days.

Joseph hasn't played in a game since May 11, when he suffered his most recent concussion by taking a foul ball off the mask. The 23-year-old was cleared to resume baseball activities last Wednesday. He played catch Friday and Saturday, then took ground balls Sunday and today.
