When you show up to a ballpark, you may see something you’ve never seen before. And if you tune into a Phillies game, you may hear John Kruk say something you’ve never heard before. The latter was the case on Thursday night during NBC Sports Philadelphia’s broadcast of the Nationals-Phillies series finale.
With Max Kepler batting in the bottom of the second, Kruk asked his broadcast partner, play-by-play man Tom McCarthy, “Did I ever tell you I almost got arrested in Oregon?”
“Doesn’t surprise me, but no, you never told me,” said McCarthy.
A simple, funny question then turned into Story Time with John Kruk.
