Since Jake Arrieta signed with the Phillies in March, we have been waiting to see what he will do in a meaningful game. The time has finally come as Arrieta is set to make his regular-season debut against the Marlins Sunday.
Hopefully Arrieta gets some of the run support Vince Velasquez received Saturday night as Philadelphia exploded for a 20-1 win over the Marlins. I guess Claude Giroux’s hat trick and the Flyers clinching a playoff spot just a few hours before inspired them.
