When we came into this season, one of the big topics surrounding the team was wondering what the lineup would end up being constructed as. A lot of the talk during spring training circled around the idea that Trea Turner would be the one the team turned to most often to try and move Kyle Schwarber down in the order to better utilize his power. While it was spoken about, it sure didn’t feel as though it was put into practice all that much during those exhibition games.
Once the season started, again, Schwarber was in the leadoff position nine of the first twelve games in of this season, meaning the idea of Turner leading off was again thrown by the wayside except when a left handed starter was on the mound.
