Ronald Torreyes is returning to the Phillies organization for a third consecutive season. He signed a minor league deal with an invite to spring training, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic.
Torreyes, 29, provided some clutch hits and steady defense all around the infield during his time with the Phillies in 2021. He was a worth a combined +4 outs above average, according to Statcast, at second base, shortstop and third base.
