After Tuesday night’s “interesting” win over the Washington Nationals, the Phillies will be back in action on Wednesday night. Hopefully they can earn their second straight over the Nats - and fourth straight overall - in a more conventional manner than in Tuesday’s wacky affair.
Cristopher Sanchez will get the ball for the Phillies, in his first outing since being removed from a start prematurely due to forearm soreness. Reportedly, he’s been pain-free since then, but this will be the first true test.
The Nationals will counter with righthander Jake Irvin.
