Fractured foot ends Corey Dickerson’s season

The Philadelphia Phillies have 14 games remaining heading into play on Tuesday night in Atlanta and they sit five games out of the a Wild Card spot. Unfortunately, they will be without one of their offensive weapons for the remainder of the season. The Phillies have officially announced that outfielder Corey Dickerson is out for the season with a fractured left foot. Acquired from the Pirates on July 31, Dickerson provided the Phils with some more offensive firepower. He was originally acquired to be more of a bench bat, but he played his way into a starting role.
