Craig Kimbrel gets a bad rap for his time in Philadelphia, because it was really not that bad. He converted 23 of 28 save opportunities in the regular season and had a 3.26 ERA. He struck out more than 12 batters per nine innings and did not walk the yard. For whatever it’s worth these days, he was an All-Star.
But there was October pain, in the form of the lost third game of the NLCS and the blown fourth one. There was certainly pain.
There’s a world in which he inflicts some more on the Phillies this year.
