Emotions from the Phillies’ high-wire win over arguably baseball’s best: ‘I’m going to bed’

MILWAUKEE — There was a sluggish, tired, misscheduled Phillies team down three runs after one inning, four after two. There was Harrison Bader standing at second with his chest out after continuing his tear, which he would later continue further. There was Bryson Stott slamming his glove three times on the visitor’s dugout bench after an uncharacteristic error, Trea Turner grabbing an iPad after a misplay of his own. The Phillies watched a terrifying opposing manager, who may have had a point, get ejected. There were seven hits from two outfielders. A team debut. There was J.T. Realmuto lying on his back, then on his side, in the type of pain that hurts to watch, let alone experience.
