The big victory marked the celebrated return of superstar David Wright, who was back in the lineup after nearly four months away from the team and hit a homer himself. And he ingratiated himself to his teammates by surprising them with some tasty treats on Sunday at the team hotel: Cookies from his favorite Philly bakery.
While it’s unlikely Wright’s decision to treat his teammates with some tasty baked goods inspired the eight-homer barrage, it certainly was appreciated.
