Behind a two home run night from third baseman Cody Asche, the Phillies gave Pete Mackanin his first win as a full-time manager. Earlier this week, Andy MacPhail announced that Mackanin's contract has been extended through 2016 with an option for 2017. Pete went 83-99 during his time as an interim manager with three different teams.
Tonight in Miami, the Phillies will look to keep their offense going behind David Buchanan, who is seeking his first win since July 21st.
