Crockett Gives Winning Trophy To 7-Year-Old Heart Hero

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — To be honest, Alex deserved a trophy.

CBS Radio is a sponsor of the Richie Ashburn Memorial Home Runs For Heart and was out in full force for media day last Wednesday, which was a kick off event.

Crockett of 92.5 XTU, who won the media home run derby, gave his championship trophy to Alex Forss.

7-year-old Alex, who has battled nine heart surgeries, with XTU's Crockett.

Forss, 7, was born with a congenital heart defect called tricuspid atresia and had three open heart surgeries by the age of three and has undergone 10 surgeries altogether.
