Cristopher Sánchez complete game powers Phillies past Red Sox

Cristopher Sánchez wasn’t named a 2025 All-Star, but he looked like one on Tuesday night.

In his third career complete game, Sánchez, in yet another dominant start this season, led the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-1 win over the Boston Red Sox. Sánchez needed only 106 pitches to finish off the Sox. He matched his career high of 12 strikeouts.

As for the rest of the offense, they came out swinging against Red Sox starter Richard Fitts. Trea Turner started things off in the first innings with a leadoff single. Following a Kyle Schwarber strikeout, Bryce Harper pulled a ball into left field to put runners on the corners with one out for Nick Castellanos.
